Programme Information
To qualify for the Master of Information Technology, students must have passed the courses (or the equivalent) listed below. The structure of the diploma is summarised in the following table. The courses and their co-requisites and pre-requisites are listed below. All programmes of study must be approved by the Programme Coordinator.
SEMESTER ONE AND SEMESTER TWO 2015
The three level 8 compulsory courses:
- ITPG8.100 Advanced IT Project Management
- ITPG8.200 Strategic IT Management (semester 1)
- ITPG8.300 Research in Information Technology (semester 2)
The level 9 compulsory course,
- MIT9.100 Applied Research Project is offered in both semesters. The courses offered to students include: In addition there are a number of Level 8 supervised courses that will be offered in either semester providing there is sufficient demand.

- ITPG8.450 Virtualisation Management
- ITPG8.500 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
- ITPG8.550 Cloud Based IT Solutions
- ITPG8.600 Advanced Mobile and Wireless Technologies
- ITPG8.700 Mobile Software Architectures
- ITPG8.800 Enterprise Content Management
- ITPG8.900 Advanced Digital Learning Technologies
EIT reserves the right to change timetables. Courses may be offered in different timeslots or cancelled if there is insufficient enrolment. Textbooks are required for several courses and the cost for textbooks is not included in the course fee.
