Rutherford College

Rutherford's multi-level course structure for senior students provides individualised learning programmes enabling students to achieve success and attain their academic goals.

Programmes can be tailored for students’ studies to be credited to their education programme on their return home. Many of our International students gain entry to Universities or Tertiary Institutes in New Zealand and overseas.

QUALIFICATION

The National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA)

The National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) is the main national qualification for secondary school students in New Zealand.  It was introduced as the main secondary schools qualification between 2002 and 2004.  NCEAs are recognised by employers, and used for selection by universities and polytechnics, both in New Zealand and overseas.

Vocational Pathways

Vocational Pathways provide new ways to achieve NCEA Level 2. These pathways will let you see how learning and achievement will be valued in the workplace. They will also suggest the types of study options and job opportunities available to learners.

Employers will be able to see learner strengths, abilities, interests and achievements when they look at the Vocational Pathways information.

University Entrance is the minimum requirement to enter a New Zealand University.

The NCEA minimum requirements for University Entrance are:
