Rutherford College is fully resourced with a number of outstanding facilities. These are constantly reviewed, developed and upgraded.
SCHOOL HALL
The Hall was built in 1961 and seats up to 650 people.
SPORTS HALL
The Sports Hall was built in 1969 and was been fitted out with a new timber sprung floor in 2011.
SWIMMING POOL
Rutherford College maintains its own swimming pool which is used for a variety of Physical Education activities as well as our annual Swimming Sports Day.
INFORMATION COMMONS
Our Information Commons facility opened in 2006 and incorporates a library, debating chambers, seminar rooms, multi-media and computer facilities, news centre and reference area.
KITCHEN AND SUPPER ROOM
These room adjoin the Hall and are also available for hire.
COMMERCIAL KITCHEN
Used primarily by our Hospitality Students, our Commercial Kitchen opened in 2014 features gas cook tops, a barista work station, demonstration area with web cam and TV.
SCHOOL SHOP
The SHS is also the place to go for PE uniform sales, second-hand uniform, socks and scarves, text books and basic stationery supplies, and is available between 8.30am and 2.30pm. It is also the home of lost property, which is held until the end of each term.
